Two very different routes to qualified status. Here is how to tell which one fits you.
Both routes can lead to qualified teacher status recognised in England, but they are designed for different people.
iQTS
A training route of around 9 to 12 months. Suitable for new and developing teachers who want structured support.
Assessment Only
An assessment of existing practice over around 12 weeks. Suitable only for experienced teachers with at least two years of whole-class teaching in two or more schools.
The key question
Are you ready to be assessed now, or would you benefit from training? If you are unsure, a free consultation with Jamie or Jo can help you think it through.
