International PGCE
An internationally recognised university teaching qualification, studied alongside your current teaching role.
What it is
The iPGCE builds subject pedagogy, curriculum planning, assessment and reflective practice around the classroom you already teach in. It is a respected academic qualification for international schools but does not on its own confer QTS.
Who it may be relevant to
- Experienced or new teachers in international schools
- Teachers who want a formal university teaching qualification
Important considerations
- An iPGCE does not give QTS; compare with PGCE with iQTS if QTS matters to you
- Recognition varies by country and employer
